Christian Linhart was appointed Ooredoo Group Chief Procurement Officer in February 2016, after a successful period as Ooredoo’s Executive Director of Group Procurement.
Christian first joined Ooredoo in 2015 and has played a key role in the company’s ongoing organisational transformation programme, which aims to align Ooredoo’s local procurement and sourcing strategies more closely with its global capabilities.
He has a wealth of knowledge and experience as a procurement specialist, and in the last 10 years has secured more than 15 major procurement projects in the telecommunications space in three continents.
Before joining Ooredoo, Christian was Deputy Group CPO in MobileTelesystems (MTS). He also served on the Board of selected MTS operating companies. Prior to that, he worked in top-tier management consulting companies, McKinsey and A.T. Kearney, finishing in the role of Principal. Christian has more than 18 years’ experience in the procurement field, and has received a number of significant industry awards, including a 2012 Global Procurement Leader Award, and the Russian Procurement Transparency Award, in 2011 and 2012.
He has a Joint Master’s degree in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany and he has also spent a year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

Mark Dady was appointed SVP and CPO Global Procurement of Mondelēz International on July 1st 2014.
In this role, Mark is responsible for the Strategic Leadership of the Procurement function. This includes Global Procurement responsibility for all Direct and Indirect Materials & Services, to enable delivery of the company’s Strategic Plan. Since his appointment Mark has launched and led a bold transformational agenda which has delivered world class results for Mondelez. Mark is as a member of the Mondelēz Leadership Council (MLC) and the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team (GSCLT). More recently Mark has assumed additional accountability for our companies Global Supply Chain Strategy.
Mark joined Mondelēz International in October 2012 as Vice President Procurement for Europe based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Before Mondelēz International, Mark enjoyed a successful career in PepsiCo, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in both Supply Chain and Procurement for 15 years. Most recently he was SVP Procurement for Europe, based in Switzerland, managing a spend of $9 BN across Direct Materials, Indirects and Commodities through a 300-strong team based in over 20 countries.
Prior to that, Mark was Sr. Buying Controller for Tesco, the world’s 3rd largest retailer, where he had a fast-track career getting experience in both Marketing and Procurement and across a wide range of categories, including Non-Foods and Foods, Branded, Private Labels, Fresh & Ambient.
He earned his degree in Economics and Politics at the Warwick University, England, and completed residential Executive training programs at INSEAD in both General Management and Finance.

Chris Sandford is a dynamic and enthusiastic Purchasing Director with over 17 years’ experience from the automotive industry within Volvo Car Group (based in Sweden). His areas of expertise within Purchasing include leading key purchasing and sourcing initiatives, savings plans and general business reporting. Ninian joined Vodafone on the 1st June 2009 as SCM IT Director, and was appointed to the board of the Vodafone Procurement Company in November 2009.
From 2014-2016 Ninian held the role of SCM Technology Director, and was responsible for all Technology sourcing in Vodafone including Networks, IT and new product development. In March 2016 he was appointed as Director of Group SCM and CEO of the Vodafone Procurement Company. Prior to joining Vodafone, Ninian held the position of Operations Director for Royal Mail plc, managing the largest work force in the United Kingdom with full accountability for the delivery of Royal Mail’s customer promise and its transformation programme.
Previously Ninian held senior positions in Cable & Wireless plc. Todd Martz has over 25 years of sourcing and procurement experience. He has held various Procurement leadership roles at XL Catlin, Munich Re, Allianz AG, and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in management consulting with PwC and IBM in their strategic sourcing and procurement practice. As a management consultant, Todd worked directly with many fortune 100 companies to develop leading practices in strategic sourcing and procurement focusing on; organizational design, shared services, strategic sourcing, outsourcing, systems implementation and spend analytics. A partial client list includes; Disney, Universal Studios, Nike, Levi, Gap, Nortel, and Siemens.
Todd is also a member of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative through North Carolina State University, Poole College of Management and an Advisory Board Member for Appalachian State University’s Supply Chain Program.
Joining XL Group in April, 2014 to head up a newly created centralized, Global Sourcing and Procurement function, Todd’s primary objective is to focus on high impact expense reductions through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations while minimizing exposure to external service provider risks and ensuring continuity of supply.

Jim leads the group’s procurement team; the team operates across than 20 countries. Prior to joining Walgreens Boots Alliance, he has worked in the building materials sector for Anglo American and in aerospace for General Electric and Rolls-Royce. He has worked overseas extensively, in both manufacturing and retail environments. Since beginning at Carlyle, he has been responsible for:

  • Serving as chief architect of the leveraged sourcing initiative, an opt-in, center-led program benefitting Carlyle’s portfolio of 240 companies globally – delivering hundreds of millions in value annually for participating companies.
  • Integrating operational expertise into diligence, on-boarding, and successful integration of companies into the Portfolio.
  • Anchoring the sourcing & procurement function at Carlyle with support of a small dedicated team augmented by a large virtual one.
  • Negotiating all major Carlyle-specific and Portfolio-level agreements.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Steve served in a succession of roles as a negotiator and sourcing & procurement leader in financial services and technology enterprises, as well as in strategic management consulting. This progression began in negotiating interconnection agreements at MCI, founding a technical procurement function at America Online, managing three practices at McKinsey, and serving as CPO at NASDAQ. He also led an international non-profit for three years.

Kaustubh joined the Singtel Group in July 2014 as Group Chief Procurement Officer to oversee the procurement function and supply chain activities for the group companies namely Singtel, NCS and Optus. His mandate at Singtel has been to transform the Procurement/Supply Chain function into a world class function with strong global Sourcing/Supply Chain capabilities, automated process and a one that provides superior service to both internal and external stakeholders.

He played a pivotal role in regionalizing the supply network for Starbucks Asia Pacific. Karen has over 25 years’ experience within the sourcing, category management and outsourcing industries. Her experience spans technology, non-technology and insurance claims expense categories within the financial services, government and retails sectors.
She is currently leading the Technology Procurement and Partnerships team through the establishment of an end to end category management approach to Enterprise Services supplier/partner network.
Prior to this, Karen worked at Suncorp where she was responsible for the sourcing and category management of all personal and commercial insurance claims spend across all brands within the Suncorp Group. The areas of expenditure span the motor, property and services categories.
She was also based in Singapore for 3 years, while responsible for demand management and sourcing functions across both IT and non-IT categories including market data services. Karen was responsible for regional and country procurement teams and the establishment of a captive regional procurement operations function operating out of the Philippines.
